Lesson

ATR & Volatility Intensive

A four-session flagship course that builds ATR measurement, volatility regime reading, and stop logic on the charts you actually trade.

  • 4 sessions · about 10 hours total
  • Studio days in Helidon or live remote chart rooms
  • Helidon, Queensland / remote Australia
  • From AUD 980 per participant

Who this intensive is for

Active traders and serious learners who already open charts but still size stops by instinct, or who treat ATR as a single number rather than a context for expansion and quiet markets. You should be comfortable reading candlesticks and naming the instruments you follow. We do not cover broker selection, product recommendations, or “set-and-forget” systems.

What you leave with

By the end of the four sessions you will have a written ATR and volatility checklist for your own watchlist, annotated examples of contraction-to-expansion transitions, and a repeatable method for relating stop distance to recent true range. The result is clearer range judgement — not a signal list.

Scope included

  • ATR construction (True Range components, common lookbacks, and why period choice matters)
  • Plotting and interpreting ATR bands relative to swing structure
  • Volatility regimes: quiet tape, breakout expansion, and mean-reverting noise
  • Stop and target framing with ATR multiples on liquid equities and FX pairs you nominate
  • A short journaling template for tagging range quality each session

Excluded

Broker account setup, automated strategy coding, tips on specific securities to buy or sell, and any promise of returns. Orchestrateml delivers education in technical analysis — volatility and ATR analysis — only.

Provider & delivery

Sessions are led by the Orchestrateml coaching desk from the Helidon studio at 17 Mt Berryman Road, with camera-shared chart work for remote participants across Australia. Group size is capped so each person can present at least one instrument for live markup.

Process & timeline

  1. Enquiry & placement — You tell us instruments and experience; we confirm fit within two business days.
  2. Prep pack — One week before session one you receive reading notes and a chart homework brief.
  3. Sessions 1–2 — Measurement foundations and regime identification on historical examples.
  4. Sessions 3–4 — Your charts, stop logic drills, and peer review of journal entries.
  5. Follow-up — A single 30-minute remote check-in within three weeks of the final session.

Typical calendar span is three to four weeks depending on studio availability.

Preparation

Bring a charting workspace you already use, a short list of instruments (up to five), and recent trade notes if you keep them. Dual monitors help for remote seats but are not required.

Constraints

Places are limited to eight participants per intensive. Sessions are educational; they are not personal financial product advice under Australian law. Missed sessions can be rescheduled once when notice is given 48 hours ahead (see the refund policy).

Pricing basis

AUD 980 per participant for the standard intensive. Private one-to-one conversion of the same syllabus is quoted separately. Materials are included; travel to Helidon is not.

Next step

Enquire about the next intensive with your preferred format (studio or remote) and the markets you follow. We will reply with upcoming dates and a short placement questionnaire.
